Sean Goldsmith first appeared on Leicester Sound in early 1993, filling in for other presenters when they were on holiday. When Mike Cass moved to drivetime in June 1993, Sean took over the Evening Show that he had vacated

He presented the show until late 1994, by which time the station had been relaunched as The New Leicester Sound. Sean left to become evening show presenter at Trent FM in Nottingham. He later moved to Mercia FM in Coventry and worked as a producer and presenter at Hallam FM in Sheffield

Sean then returned to the area and presented The Breakfast Show and a Saturday morning show on 106 Century FM, the regional station for the East Midlands for a short time, and then moved in 2002 to present breakfast at Peak 107 FM in Chesterfield.

Sean left Peak FM in early 2014, to move to Viking FM in Hull, where he now presents the Breakfast Show
