Nick was on Leicester Sound in the late 80's, early 90's, I best remember him for presenting the Morning Show for a short period after David Lloyd's departure to Lincs FM. I have been contacted by Nick after he found this site, and he has supplied me with information on his career which I reproduce below.
"I began my career with Radio Caroline, spending much of 1989 on board the 'Ross Revenge'. It was a great experience and one which I will never forget. We wereon both AM & Shortwave back then and we'd receive reception reports from around the world.
When I eventually went back home to Leicestershire, I was hired by Sound FM
as a 'swing jock' but as this was back in the days of the 'Super Station' I spent a lot of time at Trent as a tech-op. During this
period I also did some shows on Radio Nova which was broadcasting on the Astra satellite from Camberley in Surrey.
My first regular show at Sound FM was Saturday morning's. Later when David Lloyd left to set up Lincs FM, I took over weekday morning's too but only for a
short time - I also joined Lincs FM and presented the first show on Sunday 1st March 1992 (awww, it's nearly 10 years old!)
I was the first breakfast show presenter at Lincs FM and I pretty much stayed there until we launched SGR Colchester in 1993. Still one of my favourites, SGR Colchester was a great station with people like Danny Cox, Daryl Denham (the original breakfast presenter). Tim Gough used to present the local chart on Saturday's. Keri Jones and Mike Cass also spent some time working there.
I spent three years in Colchester before heading back to the Midlands to join Heart FM in Birmingham, later moving across town to BRMB.
Last year when Capital Radio took over Border, I moved up to Manchester for the relaunch of Century 105"
Many thanks to Nick Jackson for that information.

Nick then returned to BRMB in Birmingham to present Mid Mornings, then moved to afternoons, then weekday drivetime 4.00pm - 7.00pm and the Birmingham Album Chart on Saturday afternoons from 12.00 - 3.00pm
Nick then moved to Original 106 on the South Coast, presenting mornings and a Sunday afternoon show
He then returned to the Midlands to present on 105.7 Smooth Radio in the West Midlands, and he also sometimes covered on 106.6 Smooth Radio in the East Midlands
Nick then returned to Virgin to present Weekend Breakfast, and is now presenting Drivetime, weekdays from 4.00pm to 7.00pm
