Capital FM East Midlands Formerly the ILR station for Nottingham, Radio Trent, which launched on July 3rd 1975. It has always been one of the most successfull commercial stations on the air. Renamed Trent FM in 1988 following the AM/FM split, and was taken over by the GWR Group in late 1993. Adopted their "Better Music Mix" format in early 1994, and was taken over by Global Radio when they bought GCap in 2008. It then became part of their Hit Music Network, and the network programming for the HMN came from Trent. Now branded as Capital FM East Midlands, and now shares all programme with the stations that were Ram FM and Leicester Sound

Gem 106 Regional station for the East Midlands, launched on 23rd September 1997. Originally called Radio 106 FM, then Century 106 when it was relaunched. Purchased by Capital Radio in 2000, who bought it from Border Radio Holdings. Purchased by Chrysalis in 2005 as a result of the GWR/Capital merger, who rebranded it to Heart, it was then bought by Global Radio in 2007, when they bought Chrysalis Radio, then as part of the Global/GCAP merger, it was sold to Orion Media, although the Heart brand remained until the end of 2010, when the station was relaunched as Gem 106.
