Craig Strong first appeared on Leicester Sound presenting the 12inch Show on Monday nights, playing dance music as part of the stations specialist music shows. Following GEM AM's launch in 1988, Craig started to present Sunday evenings from 7pm-10pm on Leicester Sound, a slot he would maintain for the next 3 years. Around 1990 he also gained Saturday afternoons on the station. He also worked as a stand in presenter on the other stations in the Radio Trent group. His Sunday evening show on Leicester Sound ended in September 1991, but he continued to work for the Radio Trent group for a number of years, presenting the Morning Show on Trent FM in Derby, and also presenting on RAM FM when the Derby station was relaunched following it's purchase by GWR Group.
From there Craig spent some time at Mercia FM as well. In early 1999 he was brought to Century 106 to take over Night Fever, the Saturday evening show specialising in disco music from the 70's and 80's. He was then given the same 7pm - 10pm slot on Friday's and Sunday's, and eventually did the same slot across the week. He was then moved to mid mornings, whilst still presenting Night Fever, and his Sunday night slot. He then moved to overnights until he left Century in 2000. Craig also presented a similar show to Night Fever at Hinckley's 107.9 Fosseway Radio.
Craig also presented some weekend shows at Lincs FM in Lincoln and now presents on 107.2 Amber Sound in the Amber Valley
Thanks to Paul Simpson for informing me of Craig's shows at Lincs FM, and many thanks to Craig Strong himself for updating me on some of the info on this page
