Bob Brolly first appeared on Leicester Sound in September 1991, when the station began broadcasting from Leicester in the evenings for the first time.
Bob's "Come Into The Parlour" was broadcast on Sunday and Monday nights for an hour at 9pm, and was a show of Irish music and conversation for the Irish community in Leicester.
When Leicester Sound began sharing evening programmes with Mercia FM, the two existing programmes was removed, but the programme was broadcast for 2 hours on Thursday evenings instead on both Leicester Sound and Mercia FM.
When the two stations were relaunched in March 1994, the programme was switched to Mercia Classic Gold in Coventry, and on Leicester Sound the programme moved to 10.00pm - 12midnight on Sunday nights.
Bob later left Mercia to go to BBC Radio WM, where Come Into The Parlour was broadcast on Sunday afternoons 4pm - 7pm, and still is today. Bob also now presents an afternoon show on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire
