VESANIA / GOD THE LUX

This is the 2^nd album by a Black Metal side project run by Orion (of Behomoth) and Daray (the drummer with Vader) and although it has elements of both bands their sound their main influences seem to be the much lamented and influential Emperor and Old Mans Child.

I say Old Mans Child because the Keyboards play a bigger role that in Dimu Borgir and its these that set them apart form the other Melodic Black Meal bands around at the moment. In fact there are 3 very good atmospheric instrumentals that set them apart and set the mood very nicely for the next track. If you listen carefully to "Posthuman Kind" and "Phosphorror" the orchestration I the background is taken straight form the Emperor book and they do say the imitation is a sincere form of flattery. The vocals are the usual kind and the guitars are sharp and attack like a hungry shirk on the rampage.

If you like any of the bands I mentioned or Black Metal in general you will like this, as to touring it may be difficult with the touring commitments of their respective main bands.
