STATIC-X / START A WAR
Why is it that bands that try to be different from the pack end up being ignored or overlooked, this is Static’s 4th studio album and they still aren’t that well known.
Their music is exciting, vibrant and dynamic but because they don’t follow trends their brand of memorable Industrial Metal just gets ignored, tracks like "The Only One" or "Set It Off" cy out to be played on the radio but do you hear it, no. I defy anyone to listen to any track on here and keep still, its just not that sort of music, you have to headbang, dance or mosh to it, any Rock club DJ will tell you they fill the floor. If Korn released this CD it would probably be heralded as a genre defining moment and I’m not saying this because they included a track called "Just In Case", good that it is.
Wake up and smell the Coffee and get yourself some damn fine Industrial Metal that is as good as anything by Fear Factory, now that would be a killer combination for a tour, wouldn’t it. The last track is very Techno Dance orientated and that could be the problem in general, are Metal fans becoming too narrow minded in their tastes? I hope not, prove me wrong, PLEASE!
