RAMMSTEIN / ROSENROT

It seems absolutely incredulous that Rosenrot (Rammstein’s 5th album) is just left over material from last years Reise, Reise because to me its even stronger, heavier and has a cold, stark beauty that is depicted perfectly by the icy blue waste on th4e cover.

The band are as uncompromising as ever and are not afraid to push the envelope of their genre, the track "Wo Bist Du" even starts of with a haunting refrain from an Obo! before launching into a hauntingly beautiful but heavy riff, the album starts off with the first single "Benzin" a simple 2 chord song that has a driving, Industrial beat and cheekily borrow the "Hey, Hey, Hey" vocals from the Prodigy’s "Firestarter". There is a song sung in Spanish and a lovely ballad sung in German and English called "Strib Nicht Vor Mir, (Don’t Die Before Me)" that could easily be a Christmas hit and another possible ht single in "Mann Gegen Mann".

This has to be one of the best left over material CD’s ever released, listen to Metal and learn German at the same time, fantastic.
