NIGHTRAGE / DESCENT INTO CHAOS

Some Guitarists would be content with being a member of two bands but not Gus G, he has to be in 3 at the same time, having played guitar on the superb "Book Of Heavy Metal" by Dream Evil and the recently released Firewind CD, (see review in achieve section) he has somehow managed to records a second album with Nightrage.

The bands in question are all quite different, Dream Evil is Power Metal, Firewind, Melodic Metal and Nightrage, Death Metal but the one thing they have in common is the awesome playing of Mr. Gus G and its his riffing that turns what would be ordinary into the extraordinary. The songs are top notch, the vocals are faultless and the rhythm section is as tight as a Ducks rear end and Gus’s classic guitar riffs ride over the top to make this a joy to listen to. One listen to "Omen", "Phantasma" or "Being Nothing" to appreciate what I’m saying, I bet they will rip the stage apart if they get to tour.

Like the "Sweet Vengeance" CD of 2003, this is a good honest, Death Metal album that deserves to be heard and you can be sure I will do my damnedest to make sure it does.
