LORD BELIAL / NOCTURNAL BEAST

Lord Belial ae a Swedish Black Metal band that have been around for 10 years and their sound lies somewhere in between the Melodic commercialism of Dimmu Borgir and Cradle Of Filth and the purism of 1349.

All the songs are laced with a blackness that is very enticing, full of Melody, atmosphere and depth, there are acoustic moments on here that help to elevate this CD above the competition and the vocals are a mix of spine chilling, blood curdling screams, spoken and normal as well. Songs like the classy "Monarchy Of Death" and the brutal "Desolate Passage" are a pure joy to listen to and head and shoulders above most of the other Black Metal bands, why this band are not huge is a total mystery, 10 years and hardly anybody knows about them.

If you like Black Metal you will love these guys and I guarantee you will be checking out their previous output, start with 2004’s "Seal Of Belial" that is just a\s good and then "Angelgrinder", be enlightened by the darkness and touch the seal of belial.
