JUDAS PRIEST / ANGEL OF RETRIBUTION
When I heard last year that Judas Priest were getting back together with Rob Halford I must confess to being a little worried, Halfords last 2 solo albums were superb and the legacy of this British Band is undeniable I didn’t want it to come unstuck with a questionable album, however I needn’t have worried.
This may not be British Steel or Screaming For Vengeance but it does pickup from where Painkiller left of and its nice to have them back together so that all the current Metal fans get to see on of the worlds best bands in action and we get some new classics as well. Songs like "Revolution", "Judas Rising" and the lengthy epic that is "Lochness". There are a couple of slower almost Ballad’s the best being "Angel" and an autobiographical song called "Deal With The Devil" that tells of the humble beginnings of the mighty Priest.
The special edition with the DVD has 7 live tracks recorded on the comeback tour of 2004 and a rather good documentary that is well worth getting if you have any interest in the Priest and let’s face it you wouldn’t have read this far if you hadn’t.
