FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND / HOURS

Lets cut to the chase here, you want to know how British band FFAF meet the difficult 2nd album challenge, well I’m pleased to report they meet it with ease and then some, in fact I prefer this to their first.

Like Lostprophets and Feeder their forte is the Pop / Metal song, 4 minutes of, intelligent, thought provoking, memorable, hook laden, inoffensive, Rocking, tracks that leave you wanting more. It kick off with "The Rage" goes into the first hit single "Streetcar", "Roses For The Dead" follows with a terrific starting riff and "Hospitality" is very good, the brakes are applied with the slower "Drive" and we exit the 40 mph zone with a "Monster" track, that know how to rock. "History" is more melancholic, similar to a Feeder type ditty, then they recover the Rock with "The Recovery" and "The End of Northing" before finishing off on a slower more experimental note with "Sonny".

As I said this is a very good and would make an excellent soundtrack to the summer, if we ever have one!
