EXODUS / SHOVEL HEADED KILL MACHINE

Last years "Tempo Of The Damned" was a welcome return to one of Thrash’s originators and 2005 sees the band with a revamped line up in th4e shape of Lee Altus from Heathen (now on guitar) and Paul Bostaph of Slayer / Testament fame and the addition of these 2 has really made a difference.

Fight form the first track "Raze" to the last "Purge The World" there is no lit up to the pace, what you get is wall to wall classic ‘Thrash Metal with a modern sound and killer power speed riffs just keep coming, it’s a case of Thrash or be Thrashed. The new guys fit into the band well and I am pleased to say they have lost none of their bite, for those who say its not like the old days, I say listen and then judge, the biting comment on socia–political issues is still in evident as is their skill for slightly twisting lyrics around as in "Altered Boy" and the power hungry track that is "Going, Going Gone" and "Deathamphetamine".

If you like Thrash, Modern or Classic you will love this as it is a headbanging frenzy from start to finish, one tip, if you put any track of this onto your MP3 player be careful otherwise fellow passengers on the bus give you funny looks as you thrash abut as if you are having a fit. Yes Justin Case is the nutter on the bus, you have been warned.
