Having put Hungry on the Meta map last year with Destroy, Ektomorf return with yet another very strong album and its less than a year since their Nuclear Blast debut last May.

If you have read last years review you will know what to expect, except that this one is even better than that one, not only have they managed to emulate Sepultura, to my mind Instinct is better than anything they have done in 8 years and its more consistent than the Soulfly output, don’t get me wrong I love both of these bands but lets face it the sum of the whole was greater than the parts.

I don’t want to belittle what Ektomorf have achieved here as they are growing, their own styles and influences are coming through and their own identity is emerging and when you hear "Set Me Free" or "Burn" you cant help but get swept away by some classic Metal tracks that will wipe the floor with quite a few bands, Ektomorf have, style, flair, passion and the songs to match and they are Hungry (or is that Hungarian), guys, take a bow and keep up the good work, if you were disappointed with the last 3 Sepultura albums and find Soulfly too inconsistent you will LOVE Ektomorf. This is the best CD Septltura never recorded. This is essential buy or Die the Hungarians are coming.
