The Swedish Doom Metal band Candlemass make a welcome return with a superb album that finds them on top form and not just living on past glories so sit down and prepare to meet thy doom...

If you are not aware of the band before don’t let the tag Doom put you off, their sound is similar to classic Black Sabbath only updated, in fact if the Sabs were still recording I would like to think it would sound something like this. The songs are full of great riffs, good lyrics with enough atmospheres for a small planet and when you hear "Copernicus" you will be blown away and you will know what I mean, Classic rock at its best.

Best tracks include; "Copernicus", "Witches" and "Spellbreaker" and the Digipack bonus track "Mars & Volcanoes". Welcome back guys now how about a tour?
