CALLENISH CIRCLE / PITCH BLACK EFFECT

Callenish Circle are a Dutch Metal band in a similar vein to in Flames and Dark Tranquillity, technically proficient Death Metal with high production values and a strong Melodic content that isn’t over bearing.

Right from the first few seconds of the first track "This Day You Regret" it leaves you in no doubt what’s in store, it kicks off with an almost Industrial beat, peppered with Morse code before launching into a killer staccato Metal riff that lays waste to all the current competition and that’s just the first track There are plenty more where that came from as "Ignorant", "Behind Lines" and "Guess Again" prove. This is a very strong album and if you like the bands I mentioned earlier you will take to Callenish Circle like a duck to water and if that wasn’t enough the first pressing comes with (you guessed it) a free DVD featuring 7 live tracks, a studio report and a documentary and a few other things that is well recorded and good to watch.
