BRTAND NEW SIN / RECIPE FOR DISASTER
I cane across this band on the Century Media website downloaded a track called "Black & Blue" put the track on my MP3 player and listening to it on my way to work, it totally blew me away. Although Brand New Sin are not from the South, they are Southern at heart and their, beer drinking, hell raising, hard living, Black Label Society meets Molly Hatchet brand of Metal is like a breath of fresh air.
They don’t follow the current Metal trends and their honesty comes across in the music making them sound fresh, vibrant and exciting to listen to. Right from the start track "Arrived", through to "The Loner", "Brown Street Betty" and "Black And Blue" the riffs just keep coming hard and fast. Its not until the blues soaked, acoustic driven track Jack Daniel’s fuelled "Running Alone" do things slow down, its charming simplicity wins you aver instantly and when the track "Freight Train" comes lumbering out of the speakers like some leviathan on a rampage you cant fail to be impressed.
Overall this is a damned fine album that has nothing to do with fashionable trends and just ROCKS it deserves to be in your collection and I didn’t even get chance to mention the tracks "Dead Man Walking" or "Wyoming".
