Hailing form Finland Turisas are quite a diverse mix, incorporating Folk, Power Metal and even Progressive D= eath Metal and despite this or because of this very eclectic mix it makes it very interesting to listen to.

Their sound is very varied, one moment sounding like Bal Sagoth / Sonata Arctica, the next Borknagar meets Manowar in an epic punch-up and it’s this variety that will help them stand out from the ever growing Finnish pack. Not every band from Finland can be as big as Razmus but gaining a strong foothold in the international market is more than possible when you get quality songs like, the Bal Sagothish, "As Torches Rise" and "Battle Metal" (the title track) plus the epic "Land Of Hope And Glory".  Some of the lyrics are based on true historic events and it’s this, which helps create a great atmosphere,= put together with the flawless musicianship, a good production and you have a winning combination.
