This is the 2nd album form Soil who have done what the title suggests, sounding like the missing link between Grunge and Nu Metal and like Scars their first it’s full of memorable Metal that embodies the best of 21st Century Rock.
Classic Grunge type riffs tare out of the speakers during "Can You Heal Me" mixing in with keyboard touches sounding like Alice In Chains crossed with Linkin Park and what you get is very radio friendly but Metallic in content and deserves to be played loud. Lyrically the content is heart felt, full of anxiety and regret but it’s the killer size riffs that make this work so well, checkout opener "Pride" for proof.
