SHADOWS FALL / THE WAR WITHIN

I remember being very impress by "The Art Of Balance" at the end of 2003 and this one leans further towards the heavier end of the spectrum, the balance has been tipped.

With less Melody the raw aggressiveness and power of the band is far more evident and I can see how this will go down well with the current prevalence of Hardcore / Thrash revival, it hasn’t harmed Killswitch Engage, God Forbid or 36 Crazyfists and I feel that Shadows Fall will gain new followers. Songs such as "The Power Of I And I", "What Drives The Weak", "Ghosts Of Past Failures" and the rather miss titled "Stillness", (which is anything but) are hard to ignore and at a Rock Club will fill the floor with moshers faster than you can say Anthrax.

Prepare to be Thrashed, this takes no prisoners, you have been warned.
