This is Dave Ghrol’s Metal side project that has been nearly 18 months in the making, because of all the guest vocalist, one on every track, so what’s it like well it’s not Foo Fighters that’s for sure, every track has had the guest vocalist’s style stamped upon it and this makes it very variable and very listenable.
So to the nitty gritty, the best tracks, well I think without doubt the best track has to be "Centuries Of Sin" with Cronos of Venom fame, it is without doubt a top notch Metal track and worthy of any thing Venom have done in years. Next has to be "Shake Your Blood" with Lemmy on it, with his own unique style, it’s just sooooo good but I love Motorhead anyway.
The other tracks that are very notable are the King Diamond track, he’s so good at telling stories and if you like this track get his current CD, "The Puppet Master" and the track that features Tom G Warrior (ex Celtic Frost) who shows that he still has the talent and the Doom laden track featuring Lee Dorian which is done in the early slow style of Cathedral. This is not to belittle any of the other tracks as they are good as well but what you have above is the best highlights. Oh nearly forgot the `12th hidden track features a mystery guest vocalist who I can reveal is, …….Jack…….Black and a pretty good job he does too.
