PRIMAL FEAR / DEVIL’S GROUND

German Metal band Primal Fear just keep "Delivering The Goods" and this their latest release, is just as good as the stunning Black Sun CD that was one of my best of 2002. The band is out for blood and"Screaming For Vengeance" this is "Heavy Duty" "Heavy Metal" at its best...

From the first moment of the lead track, they cone out with "All Guns Blazing", lead vocalist Ralph Scheeper screams "Metal Is Forever" at the top of his lungs and you know that you are in for a "Metal Meltdown" this is a modern "Battle Hymn" and a call to arms. There are more riffs on this CD than in a guitar school and the band go "Hell Bent for Leather" and don’t let up till the very last track, you will be reaching for your air guitar in no time flat and have a "Painkiller" to hand because by the end you will need one to relieve the neck ache from all the headbanging.

The titles speak for themselves, "Metal Is Forever", "Visions Of Fate", "Sea Of Flames", "The Healer", "In Metal", "Soul Chaser" and "Wings Of Desire" to name but a few.

Rob Halford may have been re "United" with Judas Priest but the "Defenders Of The Faith", Primal Fear are the current "Metal Gods" and if you think they will relinquish the Metal crown easily, "You’ve Got Another Thing Coming" because they’re "Taking On The World" and will "Rock Forever". Joking aside this is brilliant no holds barred Metal album and no home should be without one, go buy Justin has spoken. Best tracks, all of them.
