MONSTER MAGNET / MONOLITHIC BABY

The new Monster Magnet album comes swaggering out of the speakers like some sleazy, science fiction graphic novel, full of it’s own self importance and righteous indignation, smelling of cheap booze and funny cigarettes, this is Rock with attitude, the Space Lords have returned to Earth.

Anyone who has the gall to start off their CD with a track called "Slut Machine" gets my vote, this is a hymn to the Goddess of carnal love and the power she enjoys over the male psyche and ego, bestowing her favours to the fortunate and that’s just the first track. The other tracks are just as good, check out "Supercruel", "Too Bad", "On The Verge" and "Monolithic" to mane but a few. Dave Wyndorf is on top form throughout.

There are even a couple of cover versions, one is "There’s No Way Out Of here" from the first Dave Gilmore sol CD and the other is "The Right Stuff" originally done by deceased Hawkwind singer Robert Calvert and both are given the Monster Magnet treatment to great effect.

This also comes as a limited edition double pack with a DVD including videos, live stuff and an interview with Dave. This is Monster Magnet firing on all 8 Supercharged cylinders, revved up and ready to go, buy and enjoy.
