MERCENARY / 11 DREAMS

This CD wasn’t so much released as escaped, almost UN noticed, even by me but I caught it just in time, which is good because one listen and it’s obvious it’s a bloody good album.

It’s been 3 long years since this Danish band released Everblack and yet again it’s with a new label, this time Century Media and I feel they have found a good home at last. Their sound is a unique mixture of Melodic Death Metal with Progressive Metal Leanings and this makes for a very interesting sound a mix of Hypocrisy, Nevermore, Emperor and Strapping Young Ladd. All the songs are powerful, emotive and full of energy, screaming and multy layered vocals, fluid guitar licks and powerful emotive Keyboards, add to this the superior lyrical content and what you have is a top notch CD full of listening pleasure from start to finish.

It would be a shame if this goes unnoticed as it deserves to be heard, best track; "Firesoul", "ReDestructDead", "Falling", "Supremacy v2" and "World Hate Center". Do yourself a favour and go to the Century Media website and get yourself a copy it will be the best £10 you spent this year.
