MARILYN MANSON / LEST WE FORGET

It always seems a bit redundant to review best of’s as the very nature of them speaks for itself but it’s not impossible to screw them up, so I’m pleased to say that a lot of thought has gone into this and the result is a superb resume of Marilyn work so far.

It has all the tracks you would expect and a few surprise’s as well, as the odd album tracks that went singles but are great Manson songs are here and the reworking of the Depeche Mode song "Personal Jesus" done in the inimitable Manson style with a twist.

What makes this even better is the edition that has the DVD with 21, yes 21 videos on it, including the new one and one never seen before for (s) Aint and all of his early ones that I for one have never seen, "Sweet Dreams" for instance, if you want to see what he looked like before he discovered make up. The one thing that was missing from the package was details of all his releases but that is included as an extra on the DVD and makes this an essential starting point for new fans and reminder to older fans on just how good Manson is. Well done with the DVD it could so easily have been sold separately at further expense like other bands have done, a thank you to the fans perhaps, what next for Marilyn? Watch this space.
