JAG PANZER / CASTING THE STONES

It’s been 3 long years since "Mechanical Warfare" came out and I can tell you that the wait has been well worth it because "Casting the Stones" is the best Jag Panzer CD to date.

I always thought that Jag Panzer have played 2^nd fiddle to Iced Earth but that is all about to change because what we have here is a top notch Progressive Metal album, with a Dream Theater / Nevermore kind of vibe. The guitar work throughout this CD is stunning, fluid and creative and never lets you done, couple this with some top notch rhythm work and some fine keyboards and you have great album on your hands. A lot of the tracks seem to be inspired by films, whether by accident or design it doesn’t matter because "The Mission" (Guns Of Navarone), "Achilles" (Troy), "Tempest" and "Vigilante" are all fantastic Metal songs.

This is a welcome return to the fold, best tracks; "Battered & Bruised", "The Mission", "Cold" and "Achilles".
