IMPALED NAZARENE / ALL THAT YOU FEAR

It’s been a long 3 years since this Finish band released "Absence Of War" but it’s well worth the wait, if you haven’t come across these guys before they sound a bit like a speeded up Iron Maiden after some seriously bad stuff and a vocalist that sounds like he’s been gargling with nails.

This is Death Metal with a very Black sense of humour, not unlike Usurper or Witchery and if you like both those bands you will love this as well. The guitar riffs are taken straight out of the Maiden book and the guitarist can play very well indeed with his runs being both fluid and inventive a blur of speed one second and screaming like a banshee the next. You can’t fail to get caught up in the sheer exuberance of the whole of the band.

This has been out a couple of months and it nearly slipped through the net but thanks to Arathorn it didn’t and a good job too as it’s a superb CD. Stand out tracks include; "Armageddon Death Squad", "Endless War", "Suffer In Silence", "Even More Pain" and "All That You Fear" but these are just highlights as there arte no bad tracks on here at all.
