ILLDISPOSED / 1-800 VINDICATION

When labels sing a new artist they always s say "You’re really going to like this one, they are the best etc" so it’s very nice when it this actually true.

This Danish band have been around for a while but this their debut for Roadrunner Records is very good indeed, their brand of Industrial tinged Death Metal is an unusual mixture but very listenable, sounding a bit like a cross between Hypocrisy and Fear Factory. The vocals are the usual Death Metal style but with a twist, they are harmonically distorted giving it that Hypocrisy feel to it but to my mind this is no bad thing as it makes them stand out from the pack and with the Industrial samplings and keyboard touches it takes what would have been ordinary into the unusual.

The heaviness of "When You Scream" and "You Against The World" cannot be denied, heavy as hell guitars, with digital precise backing and industrial trimmings, it cant fail to capture the imagination but there is another thing, they have a sense of humour as well, check out "Jeff" for proof. Overall this is a very good addition to the RR stable and well worth your money. Best tracks; ""Now We Are History", "Dark", "When Your Scream" and "Jeff".
