DROWNING POOL / DESENSITIZED

When the lead singer of Drowning Pool died tragically in 2002, just when the band were braking big it looked like the end, however the band said they would carry on as that’s what Dave Williams would have wanted.

Two years later with new singer Jason Jones in the line up this is the fruit of their labour and despite all the band have gone through or because of it "Desensitized" is a fine CD, it’s almost like the band has got to star all over again but this time thy are wiser than before.

Musically it doesn’t sound too dissimilar to "Sinner" but with the new vocalist it has given them a push in a slightly different direction. Jason’s vocals sound more a kin to Layne Stayl3y’s than Dave’s but it does work. The first sing "Step Up" is a good example Drowning Pool’s second CD and there are plenty more where they came from.

Bigger bands than Drowning Pool have not recovered from such a loss and many never even tried, this is a solid Metal album and will do well.
