When the debut CD from Demon Hunter came out 18 months ago I remember predicting big things for these guys and no one is more surprised than me that it hasn’t happened, yet!
This one is even better than the first, it’s heavier, darker, more brutal but it still possess that certain indefinable something that says this is going to be big. So what do they sound like I hear you ask, well if you take Pantera and their best add a touch of Linkin Park at their most commercial with a touch of Killswitch Engage thrown in for good measure you are getting close. Their mix of shouted and sung vocals coupled with the bone crunching riffs makes this a joy to listen to.
Tracks like "Beheaded", "Less Than Nothing", and "Not Ready To Die" and "Coffin Builder" are as heavy as any of the current new wave of American Metal and better than most as they can back up their noise with intelligence and substance. Put this together with potential hit singles like "My Heartstrings Come Undone", "I Play Dead" and "Everything Went White" and you have a monster of an album your hands. This goes to prove the Devil doesn’t have all the good tunes. This is classic modern Metal why isn’t anyone else hearing this but me, go on download the 2 tracks below, you wont regret it.
