Considering that this band started off as a side project by Vocalist Terror (the drummer with Sacramentum) in 1996, it has taken on a life of it’s own and has developed into a real band that makes traditional Swedish Death Metal with no frills, just no nonsense honest Metal.
This is the first for new label Earache and a fine effort it is too, there are no pretensions here, no deep and meaningful lyrics, just pure unadulterated Death Metal full of vile and spitting blood. You only have to look at the song titles to see where they are coming from, "Flamethrower Carnival", "Total Morbid", "Witch Of Death", "Coffin Fornicator" and "Blood Sucking F***k" to name but a few. This will not win any converts to the Death Metal cause but sometimes you just want something totally brutal and honest and this is where Deathwith will win. If you have come across the band before you will probably be aware of "Virtual Death" and if you liked that you will love this just as much and if you haven’t heard them before but like your Death Metal to take no prisoners you will love this and there is an underlying sense of humour in there even if it is the blackest of black. Not for the faint hearted but one of the best examples of the genre.
