One of the original Gods Of Grind and still one of the top 5 best selling Death Metal bands in the world and form this best of you can see why.

Obviously being a best of you can’t go wrong and as an introduction to the band this is a very good place to start. Spanning the bands whole career from "Reek of Putrefaction" to "Swansong" only the best of the best is here. The early more raw style of "Genital Grinder" rubes shoulders with the more refined "Heartwork" and the groundbreaking "Tomorrow Belongs To Nobody", these songs became a blueprint for many a Death Metal bands and it’s a great sham that when they split they were on the verge of being very big but such is the quirk of fate.

Several members have gone on to other things but only Mike Amott has gone onto almost greater things but the legacy of Carcass lives on. If you decide to buy any of their back catalogue it would be worth waiting until June 21st when Earache re-release them with bonus material like the 8 Peel session tracks that have been included on this one.
