3 INCHES OF BLOOD / ADVANCE AND VANQUISH

Comparisons are a necessary evil, by making them they allow you to draw upon common reference points to which another person will know and by combining them you can create an idea or concept of something that has not been personally experienced. So when I say 3 Inches Of Blood sound like a hungry Iron Maiden with Hardcore attitudes and a vocalist to match, you have an idea of what they sound like.

The Maidenism’s are a valid point and are not going to go away but If it was me, I would be proud to compared with a world class Metal act. The lyrical subject matter is similar too as "Deadly Sinners", "Fear On The Bridge" and "The Phantom Of The Crimson Cloak" will aptly demonstrate, this is Power Metal for the 21^st Century and I for one will support them whole heartedly. There is one track that is not new, "Destroy The Orc’s" has been re recorded and is better than on their debut CD.

If you like Iron Maiden, Rhapsody, Helloween and Primal Fear you will love this. Best tracks, "Deadly Sinners", "Revenge Is A Vulture", "Lord Of The Storm" and "Swordmaster".
