WAGE OF SIN / THE PRODUCT OF DECEIT AND LONELINESS
This is one that caught my ear when listening to John Peel on Radio One the other night there was the usual Peel stuff, Jazz, Techno and Ambient sounds and then this infernal Death Metal came screaming out of the speakers and I had to stop what I was doing and listen the bombastic Metal that issued forth, "that was a love song of sorts" said John it’s called "When I Broke Your Heart Mine Shattered" by Wage Of Sin and I found myself reaching for the keyboard and going to my favourite online shop and it arrived the next day, Thanks John, you never let me down.
They are an American female 5 piece band from New Jersey I think and they are one of the most extreme female bands that I have come across, but no doubt John could tell me otherwise and they are very good. The aforementioned track is not a fluke either as "Open Doors" and "Self Infliction" proves. Think Kittie but a lot Heavier and you have an idea what this sounds like. The other track to listen out for is ""Cast Away" which starts off with a Cello and then spews forth into an extreme noise, pure pleasure.
Thanks again John, where would we be without you.
