REIGN OF TERROR / CONQUER AND DIVIDE

Reign In Terror is the Power Metal band fronted by guitar maestro Joe Stump and as you would expect is chocked full of flashy guitar histrionics, enough to keep any Yngwie fan happy until the master’s next opus.

That doesn’t mean that, that’s all there is to it as the emphasis is on the songs not just one guys talent’s with an axe, the other guys in the band are also very good musicians in their own right and the songs will appeal to any one who likes classic ROCK in the vein of Purple, Rainbow and Mr. Malmsteen and when I tell you that the vocalist is none other than Michael Vescera, (ex Rising Force vocalist) you know we are talking Classic with a capital C.

The track "Sacrifice" rips its way out of your speakers with that great, unmistakable Strat sound, closely followed by a very angry sounding Hammond organ. The tracks "No Limits", "Sign Of The Cross" and "Mark Of The Devil" just remind me how good this stuff still sounds when played right. If late 70’s, early 80’s Metal is a bit of mystery to you then check this out and see where it all began, this isn’t just pure nostalgia, just good music.
