LINKIN PARK / METEORA

Let’s cut to the chase here, what you really want to know is, is this as good as Hybrid Theory, well the answer is yes it has to be because basically it’s the same formula and let’s face it, it worked well the first time.

All the trade marks that made their first CD so massive are here, the sampling, the digital scratching, the powerful chromatic chords and the hip-hop influences not to mention the rapping. The sampling is a little more adventurous than before, Japanese / Chinese music, Orchestra’s and all are used very creatively, they have gone down the route of using samples rather that using the real thing, maybe so they can re create it live better. The patent sing a long chorus’s are here in abundance and will have you singing along before you know where you are.

Stand out tracks; "Don’t Stay", "Faint", "Breaking The Habit" and "Numb" and the single you already know "Somewhere I Belong". If you liked the first album you will like this one, so prepare for 2003 to be dominated by Linking Park, the only drawback with this CD is that it is TOO short.
