LIMP BIZKIT / RESULTS MAY VARY
The 4th CD from the Bizkit see’s Fred in a more, reflective, mature, almost sombre mood and this gives the album a very varied and dynamic feel to it and as the title suggests, results may very, it will surprise a lot of people.
I get the feeling that certain songs will stand out and speak to you depending on your mood at the time and in my experience this is the hallmark of a classic album. The Rap Metal is there, as is the all out Rock song’s but where this disc shines is on the slower songs like, "Lonely World", "Down Another Day" and "Underneath The Gun". These song’s give Fred a chance to shine and show just what he can do, when he puts his mind to it, not that these tracks could be totally described as ballads, it’s just that they are very dynamic and what I call slow burners.
This is Limp Bizkit progressing and laying down the foundations of what is too come. Initial copies come with a now almost obligatory DVD; this one includes a band history and preview of their upcoming Poop DVD.
Other tracks to look out for are the excellent cover of the Who song "Behind Blue Eyes", "The Only One", "Phenomenon", "Gimmie The Mic" and "Drown" (which sounds like Nirvana meet’s Alice In Chains) and could cold be a tribute to Layne, this is Limp Bizkit coming of age.
