If you thought that Sepultura were the only band to come out of Brazil you are wrong, there is another name to add to the list, that name is Krisiun. Their brand of Speed Death Metal is about to make ears prick up all over the rock word with this superb release on Century Media.
They have added a new dimension to their sound, adding some slower, atmospheric passages that just add that little extra to the mix a bit like Suidakara in places but without the folk influences. The title track and "Murderer" are prime examples of Krisiun at their best, aggressive, brutal, metallic and still extreme. Their influences are many and varied and they pay homage to Venom by covering "In League With Satan" which is done with respect and sounds good. The cover art is done by the same artist that did the Vader and Malevolent Creation covers (Jacek Wisniewski) who captures the spirit of the band beautifully.
