KORN / TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR

If you look in the mirror, what do you see, yourself looking back at you and everything is reversed and that effectively is what this album is all about, Korn looking to the past for inspiration but re creating it differently.

If this CD is a mirror image of one of their past works, the closest relative would have to be "Life Is Peachy", you only have to listen to the tracks "Right Now" or "Did My Time" to see what I mean. I know a lot of people didn’t like Untouchables but personally I thought it was one of their best and showed how talented and creative they really are.

This is in no way a bad CD, if it was you would not be reading this review, there are no duff moments on Mirrors at all but I feel that Korn are holding back, not pushing themselves and are still capable of creating that absolute total classic. Having said that. it is still miles better than a lot of CD’s that have come out this year (names withheld to save embarrassment) and the fans will lap it up, I just know that the best is yet to come, buy and enjoy. Oh and by the way some versions come with a live version of "One" the Metallica song, very different.
