INME / OVERGROWN EDEN
It was April 2002 when Simon Webmaster Parry and myself saw InMe at the Charlotte and we like everyone else there were blown away by their unique brand of Rock. Since then like Hell Is For Heroes they have constantly toured, improved and built up a strong following which has been displayed amicably in the recent glut of polls.
The tracks seem like old friends and all the 3 singles that they have released are here along with the 2 tracks that were available from MP3.com and the remaining 7 songs are just as good, all invoking the memories of seeing them live. Their strength lies in their ability to pull in influences from all sorts of sources, making their sound different from the rest of the pack, almost Art School or Progressive, with bands like Radiohead as much an influence as the current crop of new artists like Lost Prophets.
Songs like "Her Mask" come across just as good in the studio as I remember it live and "Neptune", "Mosaic" and "Lava Twilight" will not fail to impress and with the help of Colin Richardson’s expertise this is a fantastic start to their career, you will hear more from these talented guys, of that I have no doubt. British Rock at its best buy it now and support home grown talent.
