This is bit different to the usual fare from the Earache label, it’s Avante Garde Black Metal with touches of Doom and a helping of electronics, which makes it very different form the rest of the pack. This does mean that it is NOT an instant CD, you will have to be persistent before the songs come bulldozing through your consciousness but when they do, you will be rewarded with a fine album.
The songs are quite long, only 2 being below the 6 minute mark and both of them are short atmospheric pieces, but like the Forest Stream CD they do make for very good listening, once you have got through the barrier. The tracks are well written and produced and have more in common with Opeth than say Napalm Death with some being of the slower atmospheric type and others are faster, "The Watchtower" is very representative of the CD and "Circle" starts off sounding like a blues soaked country song before drawing out its Metallic Claws with a vengeance.
As I said this is not an instant gratification CD, it’s a grower but usually they are the ones that last.
