Naming their new album after the demon of Illusion and Degradation, British band Akercoke nail their flag to the mast and I have to say this is one of the Death Metal genre’s most adventurous CD’s of this year.

Their sound is somewhere between Six Feet Under and Cradle with all sorts thrown in for good measure, one minute the vocalist is screaming, the next he is growling like an angry wolf the next he is singing normally. The music is as varied as the vocal style, fast aggressive Death Meat, then Black Satanic and the next very Gothic, not too mention the folksy instrumentals scattered almost the tracks and a couple of times they even try out Electro Death Metal, yes I kid you not. If you are looking for something very, very different, this is certainly the CD for you. One for the adventurous among you but a very good CD never the less. Oh and the lady on the front cover has a very nice Ass.

Listen out for, "Leviathan", "Scapegoat", "Praise The Name Of Satan" and "Enraptured By Evil"
