40 Below Summer’s brand of blistering, dynamic Modern Metal is fuelled with a heady emotional content of power and aggression that is hard to ignore, like a scar that has not yet healed, with more twists and turns than a roller coaster and a joy to listen to.
Their sound is a mix of old and new, Coal Chamber, Alice In Chains, Rage Against The Machine and Spineshank, to name but a few. All this has all been expertly pulled together by producer Garth Richards, all the songs have a brutal intent but also possess a melodic content that lulls you into a false sense of security and is hard to ignore and you will find yourself singing along in no time as "Self Medicate", "Breathless" and "Better Life" ably demonstrate.
This is the sort of album you will find yourself coming back to again and again and I am sure it will tell the test, another fine addition to the growing Roadrunner roster.
