TIAMAT / JUDAS CHRIST

The last couple of Tiamat albums have been very different, Slumber was different to Skeleton and Judas is different from them both so don’t buy this CD expecting Skeleton II or you will be disappointed.

This a very much a Gothic Rock album with influences ranging form Paradise Lost, Sisters Of Mercy and Division Bell era Pink Floyd and this is perfectly demonstrated by the opening track "The Return Of The Son Of Nothing which could almost be a Floyd out take, but not all of CD is doom and Sombre, "Vote For Love" is Gothic but very much up lifting and so is "Truth’s For Sale" and "Angel Hologram’s".

"Spine" and "I Am In Love With Myself" and very strong song’s and are the heaviest on this CD and if you buy the limited edition you get 2 extra tracks that are very strange indeed. Overall this is a very good CD but as I said approach this with an open mind and it will reveal its true splendour to you.
