SHADOWS FALL / THE ART OF BALANCE

Shadows Fall's staccato guitar riffing falls somewhere between Iron Maiden, early Metallica and Machine Head, the classic twin guitar line up and a mix of gruff and more melodic vocal attacks makes this an essential purchase.

One listen to "Thoughts Without Words" and you wont get the dams thing out of your head, it's catchy Power Metal chords and chorus will rattle around in your brain for day's. Its not all balls to the wall power as "Fire In Babylon" demonstrates aptly and even has some very nice acoustic guitar parts in it.

Both the title track "The Art Of Balance" and "Mystery Of The Spirit" show off Shadows Fall at their best and their version of the Pink Floyd song "Welcome To The Machines" is reproduced with ease and a little twist of their own put into it as well.

The whole album is about duality and negating the brutality of power with the fragility of beauty, which truly is the Art of Balance.

Just to prove the point initial copies come complete with a bonus CD ROM disc that has some very nice eye candy.
