PRIMAL FEAR / BLACK SUN

Matt and Ralph from Primal Fear have been using Judas Priest's Painkiller as a bench mark for the band since it's inception nearly 5 years ago and to my ears they have surpassed Painkiller and are now in new territory.

Filled to bursting with fantastic over the top riffs and a truly awesome vocal performance from Matt Sinner, this CD is as good as it gets and with titles like "Armageddon", "Mind Control" and the title track "Black Sun" you know what to expect PURE METAL. Everything about this CD is in place, you have the great story behind the song's, with the metal eagles flying through space on a mission, looking very distinctive in it's metallic blue and silver sleeve and even the CD itself is totally black, (like the Palestine CD's) it does look very strange no seeing the silver data side shining at you but it does work.

There have been some really great Metal coming out of Europe and in particularly Germany over the last year and if this album does not earn Primal Fear some serious respect from anyone who says they like metal, then there ix no justice at all. This will be played to death on my show on HFM and I make no apologies for that either. YOU MUST BUY THIS CD.
