PRETTY MAIDS / PLANET PANIC

From the land that brings you the perfect bacon; Danish band Pretty Maids have been around for quite a while consistently turning out good albums and this latest offering is no exception.

Taking their lead from Helloween and the Scorpions, Planet Panic is full of great Melodic Power Metal songs and if you have any of their previous you will know what to expect, "What do you mean you haven’t got any?" Kicking off with "Virtual Brutality" the CD gets off to a flying start and only lets up on a couple of Ballads "Natural High" and "Enter Forevermore". "Playing God" and "Face Of My Enemy" are a great mix of Power and Melody and deserve to be heard by all. If you are in Europe now April 8th 2002 you will be able to catch them on tour, go and see them, you won’t be disappointed.

Another fine effort from the Maids and one that I will be playing for quite a while, look out for the cover of the Sammy Hagar track "One Way To Rock".
