LACUNA COIL / COMA LIES

This female fronted Italian Gothic Rock band keep on going from strength to strength and Comalies is a fine testament to their achievement.

The sound is heavier than before and there is more input from the male vocalist and the juxtaposition between his gruff voice and the angelic performance of Christina works very well. Listen to the lead off track "Swamped", "Heaven's A Lie", "Prophecy" and "Comalies" and you will hear what I mean. The feel of the album brings to mind Paradise Lost at their peak, i.e. "Draconian Times" and after a few plays you find yourself singing along to the tracks.

If you were lucky enough to catch them on their recent tour you will know that they put on a good show as well and if there is any justice this will fly out of the shops at a rate of knots. The initial copies come in a box with a poster, badge and an extra track.
