HALFORD / CRUCIBLE

The Metal God returns with a great album and although he's been screaming with vengeance for 30 years he still knows how to ROCK. Not surpassingly his music is a fusion of both old and new Metal, thus appealing to a wider audience and believes me when I say there is more Rock than Gibraltar and more Metal than British Steel.

The CD starts the way it means to go on and when I tell you the titles you will know what to expect, "Trail Of Tears", "Heats Of Darkness", "The Wrath Of God" and "Betrayal" you can bet there is enough riffs to keep the most ardent Mosher happy. There are a couple of slower songs one is called "She", just to prove he does have a softer side and even this is good.

Rob's solo career has been very turbulent since leaving Priest and some things are best forgotten but this CD and 2000's Resurrection are essential.
