This is a re release of the Norwegian bands '97 album and although it is not as polished as their last 2, never the less it is still a very good CD.
If you thought that Spiritual Black Dimensions was too commercial then this cou8ld be what you are looking for. I am not usually one to recommend re issues but this CD is a very pleasant exception, not only do you get an extra track that was not on the original but there is also an extensive multimedia section that I will come to in a moment.
Of the songs on this CD, "Spellbound" and "Succubus In Rapture" are both awesome Black Metal anthems and still live favourites, and show just what Dimmu Borgir would be capable of. The previously unavailable track is sung in their native Norwegian but that does not distract from the fact that it is a very good song and one can only wonder at what internal politics kept it off the original.
The multimedia section, is very good and as well as including a live Video, it includes lyrics, a photo gallery, winamp skins and a screensaver. Well done to Nuclear Blast, too often re issues are not worth it but this has had a lot of thought and effort gone into it, top marks.
